About the Gypsy Horse Show Association

Since 2017, the Gypsy Horse Show Association (GHSA) has been dedicated to promoting, encouraging, and developing the Gypsy Horse through quality competition, education, and fellowship. Founded by a passionate group of owners, breeders, trainers, exhibitors, and enthusiasts, GHSA was created to bring the Gypsy Horse community together through a shared love of this extraordinary breed.

At GHSA, every exhibitor has a place. Whether you're entering the show ring for the very first time, competing for a year-end championship, or cheering on friends from the rail, you'll find a welcoming community that values sportsmanship, horsemanship, and lasting friendships.

Our approved shows celebrate the versatility, beauty, and athleticism of the Gypsy Horse while providing opportunities for exhibitors of all ages and experience levels to learn, compete, and grow. From in-hand and performance classes to educational clinics and member programs, GHSA is committed to supporting both horses and the people who love them.

Our Mission

The purpose of this association is to provide education and promote equine and human athletics through:

1. Promote youth and adult involvement in horse shows, exhibitions, educational events, and other equine-related activities associated with horsemanship, driving, and riding.

2. Aid and encourage the breeding, exhibiting, use, perpetuation, and protection of Gypsy Vanners, Gypsy Horses, Gypsy Cobs, Tinkers, etc... by promoting the breeds through GHSA horse shows. To coordinate and cooperate in providing qualified judges for GHSA and other Gypsy horse shows and in devising and adopting GHSA show rules, regulations, and standards.

3. To encourage the exhibition of purebred Gypsy’s, regardless of breed registry.

4. To cooperate with other organizations with similar interests in Gypsy horses.

5. Provide publicity and educational programs and other activities in the interest of Gypsy horse associations, clubs, and enthusiasts for the purpose of stimulating interest in Gypsy horses.
